Description:

WHAT IS WHITE LAKE DIATOMACEOUS EARTH®?

White Lake Diatomaceous Earth® (WLDE) is a natural grade (uncalcined), that comes from a pure DE deposit. This pure, freshwater diatomaceous earth is composed of Food Chemical Codex Grade DE made of amorphous silica (the good kind of silica). WLDE contains a naturally pure form of amorphous silicon dioxide (Si02) that contains calcium, magnesium, and other beneficial trace mineral oxides.

White Lake Diatomaceous Earth® is registered for use as an inert carrier or anti-caking agent in animal feeds in an amount not to exceed two percent (2%) by weight of total ration.

ABOUT OUR DIATOMACEOUS EARTH DEPOSIT

The area just outside of Vale, Oregon is home to our White Lake Diatomaceous Earth® DE deposit.

Our White Lake Earth pure diatomaceous earth deposit contains a variety of fossilized Melosira species of freshwater diatoms, with a greater number of pores per diatom, and hence greater pore volume. This species of diatom provides significant absorbent qualities.

WHAT IS AN ANTI-CAKING AGENT?

Anti-caking agents are added to grain, feed and supplements to absorb moisture that can otherwise lead to clumping and caking. White Lake Diatomaceous Earth® keeps things dry, and improves flowability

WHAT IS FOOD CHEMICAL CODEX GRADE?

To be considered Food Chemical Codex Grade, Diatomaceous Earth must meet a variety of requirements including very low levels of heavy metals like arsenic and lead; White Lake Diatomaceous Earth® satisfies all aspects of the Food Chemical Codex Grade designation.

*** White Lake Diatomaceous Earth® is NOT approved by the EPA as an insect killer for roaches, bed bugs, ants, fleas, silverfish, scorpions or any other insect. ***
